LA HABRA, Orange County — October 25, 2026. Residents considering attending the Monday, October 26 Planning Commission meeting should check before leaving: La Habra’s official Agenda Center contains a Notice of Cancelled Meeting for October 26, posted October 22 at 8:01 a.m. The public city calendar still lists a Planning Commission meeting at 6:30 p.m. on that date. The cancellation notice is the more specific record. Residents may contact City Hall if a later special session has been scheduled.
November 1: Día de los Muertos at Portola Park
The city and The Children’s Museum at La Habra announce a Día de los Muertos celebration on Sunday, November 1, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Portola Park, 301 S. Euclid Street. The city’s dedicated event page says outdoor performances, music, the community ofrenda and event activities are free. Families are invited to bring a photograph or small memento to honor a loved one.
The event offers traditional dance and cultural presentations, live music and crafts. Sugar-skull decorating may carry a separate charge, and food is sold by vendors. Access to the Children’s Museum’s eight indoor exhibits is not included in free outdoor admission. Standard museum admission is listed as $12 for ages two and older, with eligible discounts. Check the organizer’s current fee and eligibility details before purchasing tickets.
Other meetings and city services
La Habra’s archive also lists a joint City Council agenda for October 19, posted October 15. A Housing Authority session for October 19 is marked canceled. The city has separate archives for the City Council, Housing Authority, community services and Planning Commission. Those governing bodies should not be conflated, and an agenda entry does not verify an adopted ordinance.
City Hall is at 110 E. La Habra Boulevard, telephone (562) 383-4000. Follow La Habra News for verified municipal records and event corrections.
Official sources checked October 25, 2026: La Habra Agenda Center, October 26 cancellation notice; October 26 calendar entry; Día de los Muertos details. Future event arrangements may change.
