La Habra Plans Seasonal Suspension of Overnight Parking Enforcement Around Thanksgiving

LA HABRA — November 3, 2026. La Habra’s holiday information page says it typically suspends enforcement of its overnight parking ordinance from the Friday before Thanksgiving through the Sunday after New Year’s Day.

What the seasonal policy covers

The city describes the suspension as beginning at midnight on the Friday before Thanksgiving. In 2026, that Friday is November 20. Drivers should check whether a current public safety or municipal announcement modifies the usual program.

Other rules still apply

A pause in overnight-parking enforcement is not permission to block sidewalks, hydrants or driveway access, ignore street sweeping signs or leave vehicles in posted temporary tow zones.

Check if your block differs

Holiday trash and sweeping changes may also affect curb availability. The municipal Public Works website carries the holiday schedule, and residents should verify exceptions before leaving a vehicle overnight.
